Seker from the tradition of ancient Khamit/Egypt is that aspect of The Divine, The Creator that dwells in deep places, in the abyss, in the unknowable realm, in the graveyards, in death, and in time marching on and the cycles of karma. This energy represents the force of change and transformation.  Seker represents death of all things including the death of the ego.  She is the Queen of the underworld and the afterlife. Represented in many cultures throughout the world, in the Hindu religion she is known as Kali, Shiva or Amman. In the Yoruba tradition she is known as Oya, Babalu Aye. Other names include Shakti, Durga, and Santa Muerte. She is not one to be played with. Positive traits are sobriety, stability, one who is reserved in speech, thrifty, studious, and austere. On The Tree of Life, Seker is positioned on the third sphere in the upper triad along with Ausar (the Unifier) and Tehuti (wisdom) respectively. This realm is not an easy one to access. It takes serious application of looking within, abstaining from the pleasures of the world and overcoming childish behaviors and mastery over the ego.  A realm reached by only the most devoted practitioners or those who have been born with a special access therein.

Seker represents the old woman, the one who cares nothing about appearances and external things. Her realm is within, deep within. She has lived an eternally long life and has done the hard work of developing and honing her spiritual power. She wears a necklace made of skulls that represent her mastery over the lower parts of her being. This represents her ability to cut off the heads of the lower parts by mastering them: fear, anger, jealousy, vanity, greed, lust, sloth and all the other lower vibrations that we on this human journey become entangled. Seker dances upon the dead bodies of these lower vibrations she has conquered. Usually seen with different tools in her many hands, a sickle is Seker’s primary tool to cut away at anything that does not elevate and develop positive spiritual power, she slays demons, particularly the demons within.

Seker is ruled by the planet Saturn, a slow moving planet. Her energy represents the full measure of seriousness and she is not one to dillydally. During the Seker cycle is a great time to organize and put things in order, get your life in order and be serious and diligent about those things that need to be attended which includes your spiritual work. It is an opportune time for looking deeply into serious matters of your life, how you can deepen your meditation, master your emotions. The height of this energy will occur on the Full Moon this month in Capricorn, Tuesday, July 19th. One thing that is very curious to me is that fact that this energy occurs during the most playful and external time of the year, summertime.  We are being called on to plan, organize and get our lives in order at seemingly a most inopportune time.  This takes discipline and work.  Therein lies the challenge to be able to take full advantage of the fun of summer, socializing being out in the world having fun with friends and family and at the same time attending to those deeper callings. Begin deepening your meditation now and utilize the power of Seker to achieve things ruled by her - career, spiritual power, and your destiny. This is a time to consider what is it in your life that you need to look into with contemplation and meditation?  Only you know what it is that you need to cut off and or to conquer?  What is it that you need to put in order? It could be the papers on your desk, your diet, your plans for a new venture or your emotional nature. Now is the time for these undertakings so that you may be fulfilled and thereby experience more wellness in your life. The elements for that correspond to the Seker nature are as follows: Time of the year -Sideral full moon in Capricorn /Day of the week – Saturday (ruled by Saturn) / Natural element- the wind / Botanical – myrrh, cypress / Stones – blue sapphire, onyx /Metal – lead / Colors – indigo, blackContact us at anu@anuessentials.com if you are interested in purchasing Seker Spiritual Water to wear during your Seker meditations.  SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
