Raw oud oil has a very striking odour, which is not for everyone. Oud can have a heavy, deep, animalic smell that can also be warm, spicy, leathery, balsamic, and woody notes when added to perfumes. Our oud wood chips are perfumed in Oman. They are soaked in an oil blend that contains saffron oil, amber, henna oil, rose oil and other special perfume blends and is intoxicatingly beautiful. As with any hard incense, like oud wood chips, high heat is required. I recommend using either an electric burner on the high setting or burning it on charcoal.
