Walnuts Can Do That?

For most of my life I have awakened in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and I thought it was normal. Then recently it increased to sometimes twice a night. I finally decided to look into this. I was confident my Chinatown hookup, Dr. Tan would have a solution for this recurring interruption of my sleep.
I imaged he would tell me I would have to cook up herbs for months on end. Instead, he said, “Eat three walnuts a day.” I said that’s it? Well, I’m here to tell you, it works. This easy solution made me think, perhaps eating a few walnuts a day could help men of a certain age whose bladders are overactive. It seems that walnuts tone and fortify the kidney Chi.
This is in part why I love Chinese medicine, and why it’s my first line of defense against whatever ails me. Once again, nature to the rescue. I’m not going to lie, I eat more than three and I add raisins to boot. I smiled when a friend I shared this with just a week ago said to me, “Those walnuts work” and don’t I know it! Of course, if you are allergic to nuts, herbs and acupuncture would be a better solution. Check out this article on walnuts and kidney health.

    Hi Ms. Anu,

Do you think Dr. Tan would have any suggestions for a healthy thyroid?
